Features of the model

The car is built on the same platform as popular in Ukraine "classmates" from the Japanese company Nissan: Qashqai and Rogue. Like these cars, you can buy Renault Kadjar in two versions: all-wheel drive and rear-wheel drive. The feature of the French car is the original and, in a good sense, non-standard design, thanks to which the Kadjar stands out on the road.

Although the Renault Kadjar car is not among the top, iconic or most popular models of the concern, the car has many advantages. The crossover has a decent ground clearance - from 186 mm, it is already equipped with a full set of driver assistance systems in the basic configuration: ABS, ESP, hill start assistance and emergency braking, brake force distribution systems and anti-skid.

In addition to them, there are already in the database:

• air conditioning;

• cruise control;

• automatic parking brake;

• LED daytime running lights;

• an audio system with a three-line display, USB, AUX, Bluetooth and a steering wheel control panel.

The top trim levels add to this list a panoramic roof, electrically folding mirrors, a key card for access to the interior, R-Link2 multimedia with a 7-inch touchscreen, a rearview camera, a blind spot monitoring system and navigation, and semi-automatic parking system. For cars with only front-wheel drive, the Extended Grip system was available for a separate fee, which improves passability when driving on poor road surfaces (dirty or snowy).

In addition to an extended package of options, the car, despite its small dimensions, has a comfortable and somewhat spacious interior with comfortable rear passenger seats and a large number of driver's adjustments. The volume of the luggage compartment in the five-seater version is 409 liters. If you fold the backrest into a flat floor, you can increase it to 1478 liters. At the same time, in some versions, the front passenger seat also folds down.

American Renault Kadjar cars, in particular those that were officially delivered to Ukraine, were exclusively equipped with in-line four-cylinder turbocharged engines. This applies to both gasoline and diesel units. Despite the small working volume (from 1.2 to 1.7 liters), most of them provide the crossover with quite good dynamic characteristics. For example, a 1.6-liter diesel with a capacity of 128 hp. accelerates to 100 km/h in 9.9 seconds, and the 1.5-liter 108 hp. — for 11.9.

At the same time, performance indicators and fuel consumption are mostly the same for both automatic and manual versions, because the main transmission option of the Renault Kadjar is a 6-speed manual transmission or robotic mechanics with the same number of gears. Only the Chinese versions were equipped with a variator, which works there in tandem with a 2-liter naturally aspirated engine.

How to buy a Renault Kadjar in Ukraine

You can find many offers of used cars from private individuals on car classifieds sites. Having technical knowledge and sufficient experience, you can buy a car yourself. It is believed that at the same time it is possible to save substantial funds on the services of an intermediary. However, in reality, buying a Renault Kadjar in Kyiv on your own is much more difficult than it seems at first glance.

Often, under the guise of honest sellers, so-called repurchases are hidden, which differ from official trade organizations by the lack of responsibility, tools for checking the condition of the car, and often also sufficient qualifications.

Buying a used Renault Kadjar or any other car from dubious persons, the buyer risks getting the following problems:

• inconsistency of the car's technical condition with the declared one;

• twisted run;

• problems with documents;

• finding the car in the databases of search or credit pledge;

• dashed body numbers.

All the listed factors threaten a significant loss of money, in the best case, if the car can be turned back, time.

Cars sold in Europe, in particular Renault Kadjar, have a lower price and mileage, they are usually in better technical condition, and their operating history is somewhat more transparent. However, the situation with independent acquisition does not become easier. Other problems can be added to all the previous problems:

• language barrier;

• ignorance of the specifics of local registration and paperwork;

• poor orientation on the terrain;

• problems with traveling abroad;

• queues for entry into Ukraine;

• complexity of calculating customs payments;

• problems with car certification.

This can make the process of buying a car difficult or impossible.
