II (2006-2012) Santa Fe switched to a support body and received a more modern design. V6 2.7–3.5 liter gasoline power units were installed on the car. It was offered with front or all-wheel drive paired with a 5- or 6-speed automatic transmission.
III (2012–2018). The model received the body of a medium-sized crossover. A 2.2-liter diesel was added to the 2.4- and 3.3-liter V6 gasoline engines. The drive remained front or all-wheel drive, the transmission was a 6-speed automatic. A third lifting door was available as an option.
IV (from 2018). The body design was updated, but the Santa Fe remained on the crossover platform with front or all-wheel drive. The line of engines consists of gasoline units of 2.4 and 2.5 liters, as well as diesel engines of 2.2 liters. The transmission is a new 8-speed automatic. SmartSense security system is available.
The presentation of the fifth generation took place in August 2023. The new car has retained the architecture and main elements of the suspension from the previous model. The cooling system has changed, the friction of components and some other parameters have been modernized. The line of power units includes: a 2.5-liter naturally aspirated gasoline engine, a 2.5-liter turbocharged gasoline engine, a 1.6-liter turbo-hybrid unit, and a 1.6-liter plug-in hybrid with turbocharging.
